Pressure die casting is a metal casting process in which molten metal is injected into a hardened steel mold (die) under high pressure. The result is a dimensionally accurate, near-net-shape metal component with excellent surface finish. Compared to gravity casting or sand casting, pressure die casting offers faster cycle times, tighter tolerances (typically ±0.1mm), and superior repeatability — making it ideal for high-volume production of complex parts.

There are two main types: Hot Chamber Die Casting (best for low-melting-point alloys like zinc) and Cold Chamber Die Casting (used for aluminum and magnesium alloys).
